I have learned that in Australia the illegal pet trade is illegal (obviously) because cockatoos, bearded lizards and other australian animals are illegaly druged and taken to other countries. The way they smuggle cockatoos into different countrys is that they first cut the bottom of a plastic bottle and then drug the bird to put in the plastc bottle. In Australia it is illegal to use electric prods on young animals for example people take away the babys after they are born and cram them into different stalls. The girl cows are left to live while the boy calfs are thrown into the slaughter house. The slaughter house is a room where they made calfs walk in a single line and into a slaughter machine. Slow Lorises are treated horribly in the pet trade, they are kept awake in daylight when thay are normally nocturnal, they are fed the incorrect food witch could kill them and kept in smallcages witch is cruel. Here is a video about the life of a slow loris: loris life
Here are two websites that will show you some things about how animals are being treated i the pet trade: Peta Peta2
Here Is My Math Componant
My math component is about what category they are in for example the slow lorises are endangered 50%
Here Is My Language Exhibition
For my language component I made two poems, one about slow lorises and another one about puppy mills.
A Poem: Slow Loris
In the tree
is what I see,
a little Loris
from the forest
Hiding from the predators,
to them were evil senators
That take them from their home
and cage them with bars of chrome.
What we’re doing to them is killing them,
by horribly stressing them,
most of them die before the market,
it’s like they’re all targets.
If we want to stop this death
than boycott a lot so no more last breaths
that lead them to their death.

A Poem: Pet Trade
They are kept in cages
young and old,
all ages, from birth they are taken away
and put in a mill,
they grow up and kill,
Even if its family,
even if its mum,
they do this cause their carers don’t feed them and the errors
will become.
The breeders and the feeders just want money,
sometimes they think it’s funny,
It’s better to adopt then buy,
they say it’s as easy as pie,
just to get in your head
and hide the dead
but one day this will all end
when our relationship will not bend
